Magnifica Humanitas: Encyclical Reading Group

A HYBRID EVENT RECOMMENDED BY THE OFFICE FOR ECUMENICAL AND INTERFAITH RELATIONS

This fall, The Canadian Council of Churches (CCC) invites Christians from diverse traditions across Canada to join a national reading initiative on Pope Leo XIV’s encyclical, Magnifica Humanitas (Magnificent Humanity). Together, participants will reflect on how to safeguard human dignity in the age of artificial intelligence.
As part of this Canada-wide ecumenical initiative, small groups of 8–10 people will meet bi-weekly throughout the fall. Participants will share perspectives from their faith traditions, discuss the encyclical, and learn together with people from their parish, neighbourhood, workplace, or the CCC’s national network.
